This pattern was designed specifically to imitate a fry pattern with a golden eye, like a sockeye fry. Most fry patterns available are made with stiff materials, and are tied too small to truly represent the average fry morsel swimming around. RIO’s Fry Me A River is just the right size bite for all predatory fish, and with those gold eyes has a vivid trigger point that will get hit. It has been an exceptionally good sockeye fry pattern, particularly when they come out of Alaskan lakes. We recommend fishing it on a short sink tip, and with smooth strips to get the best of the action.
